III. Pay the fees

$35 either way - virtual or in person.

V. Don't Wait!

Appointments are available up to 3 weeks in advance so get yours scheduled ahead of time - it must be within 60 days of your wedding ceremony. In person appointments are usually released Mondays at 9am, and virtuals are released Thursdays at 9am.

Please Remember!

The city is slow to process these but will use the wedding date on your application as a guide and won't miss it, but don't get nervous, it could come pretty close.

Does Your Wedding Officiant Need Their License Too?

Once you receive yours back in the mail, your wedding officiant may apply for their one day marriage officiant license. Follow the steps:

MARRIAGE LICENSE

After the Wedding!

Before the wedding, you can put your license with a pen and a pre-addressed and stamped envelope in a sealed ziplock bag and give it to your coordinators to hand to your wedding officiant. This usually arrives alongside your other personal items in your decor drop!

After the wedding, have your wedding officiant mail it in right away. 4-6 weeks later, you'll receive you marriage certificate in the mail. Now you're ready to rock!

Hi there! I’m the founder and head architect behind Creative Process Collective, as well as owner and designer over at January Made Design.  You can guarantee I will greet you with an over the top smile and talk your ears off about all things creative, small business and probably pets (everyone loves pets). Serial over-sharer on social media, you’ll be able to find me most days sitting at my trestle table working away with a green tea and surrounded by too many house plants and most likely a cat stretched across my keyboard.
